I've tried connecting to the hub page directly via HTTP whilst trying out the various proxy settings - no luck. ![]() I've checked my firewall and AV - same as it ever was, no issue there. After 30 odd seconds of waiting, I get a "Connection closed" message at the bottom. I play Space Station 13, and whenever I get this error message I cannot see any of the servers on the game's list, however neither can I connect to any of them directly either - opening a BYOND link in my browser (I use Mozilla Firefox) or just opening it in BYOND itself does not work either - Dream Seeker gives me the standard error message, saying it's experiencing a problem reaching byond dot com, and to check my firewall and antivirus settings. Hosting on a wireless connection is possible, but introduces a host of potential issues. Last but not least, NEStalgia hosting works best when using a wired ethernet connection. If you're hosting a dedicated server then we highly recommend that you play the game on a different computer, and host no more than 3 NEStalgia servers per machine. If your server is slow or causes frequent player disconnects, make sure that you close all other programs running on your computer before hosting NEStalgia. ![]() To overcome firewall related issues, visit to learn how to open specific ports for NEStalgia on your router. The majority of hosting issues happen when a firewall blocks a NEStalgia server from contacting the hub. ![]() If you've previously installed NEStalgia and are encountering new issues with the Launcher, close the Launcher and delete your 'bin' and 'cache' folders (defaulted to '\\My Documents\BYOND\bin'.)
